Channels & feed
Start a channel and broadcast to everyone who follows. Or post straight to your feed — replies, quotes and reposts carry your words further, under the same account you chat with.
Privacy
Most apps ask you to take their word for it. Relacord gives your app a way to check.
Every device key goes into a public log that can only be added to. Your app receives each key with a cryptographic proof that everyone sees the same one and that it was never swapped — so not even our server can quietly hand you a fake.
Secret chats are built on MLS, the IETF standard for end-to-end encrypted messaging (RFC 9420). Keys are destroyed after use, so a device stolen today won’t unlock last year’s messages.
For secret chats our server is a relay, not a vault. It carries bytes it can’t read and deletes them once they’re delivered — or after 30 days at most. Old messages aren’t sitting somewhere encrypted. They’re gone.
Everyday chats live in the cloud, so your history is on all your devices and searchable. Need more? Make the chat secret.
Native
Relacord is a real desktop app. Its core is written in Rust and its interface is drawn natively with Qt — there’s no browser engine hiding inside. It’s built to start fast, scroll smoothly and stay light on memory, because a chat app is open all day.
Relacord grew one kind of conversation at a time — until it became something of its own: one app for every circle of your life.

Because we’re building every piece of it ourselves: our own core, our own server, our own native interface — no borrowed browser underneath. That’s what will make Relacord fast and private, and it’s also why it takes time. We’d rather ship it right than ship it soon.
